We test products fairly and consistently. This shows how well they work. For things we can’t measure, we rely on expert opinions.
We aim to give honest reviews. We mix data from tests with expert opinions. This ensures our reviews are fair and accurate.
When we started Fizzy Offers, we focused on one product per “room”. But as our business grew, so did our readers’ demands. Our team is always ready to test and try new products.
We aim to make your life easier by reviewing gadgets and tools. We want you to know how they perform. This helps you make smart choices.
Each product type has its own testing and scoring method. While some categories share similarities, like vacuums and robot vacuums, each has its own page. Click on the links below to learn more about how we test and score each category.
- Vacuums Cleaners (all types except cordless, wet dry, and robots)

…and 100s more
In addition to our core product testing categories, we also have a generic score system for products that do not fall into the above categories. You can see that testing and scoring system here.
Scoring System Versions
Over the years, we’ve made our testing and scoring systems better. We are currently creating reviews using scoring system version 1.1.
Below you can see the specific versions of our current and retired systems.
Version 1.3, January 2025 to Present – Each product category now has its own system. Products used and tested in near identical use environment.
Version 1.2, July 2023 to December 2024 – This is our current scoring system. It uses expanded testing, more data, and refined subjective assessment.
Version 1.1, August 2018 to July 2022 – We changed scores for almost every product in August 2018. This was part of our 1.0 scoring system roll out. It replaced our 0.9 system, making it easier to understand and clearer on performance differences.
Version 1, October 2012 to July 2018 – This was our old scoring system. It used a 100% scale but had different scoring factors for each product. We found it hard to maintain and confusing for users.
What scoring version do our reviews use?
Reviews before July 23, 2023, use scoring system version 1.0, unless noted. For top products, we’re updating to version 1.1. Our new standard scoring box shows the version used.
Migrating Our Scores
Starting in July 2023, we began moving reviews from 1.0 to 1.1. We re-scored all products to show performance differences clearly. These updated scores are on top category pages.
We aimed to make legacy scores similar to 1.1 for easier comparison.
Eventually, we plan to re-test popular products with system 1.1.
